CUSS How appropritate a name !!!
If they don't allow your frequent flyer miles to be registered by AC, they do provoke some "cussing" :)
PS: I'm also finding that it has been taking longer to post mileage recently - it used to be done by next day, now I find it can take 3-4 days.
Tip: Use web check-in -- points post reliably this way. If you are a SE use the SE checking line as an alternative.
AC lurkers -- this should be fixed...
The industry jargon is CUSS, for Common Use Self Service kiosks. We will see "generic" machines at more and more international airports. CUSS kiosks are one pillar in IATA's "simplifying the business" initiative, aka how can the legacy carriers compete with the LCCs.
FYI, the YYZ variety of kiosks were manufatured just a short 427-QEW jog away in Burlington at a former Litton factory now owned by SITA.
PS I have also missed having points credited during 2004 when using the kiosks at YOW, but thought it might have been due to the newness of the CityPass program.

I seem to recall a negative comment on those YYZ generic check-in machines.
